Year of massive growth: Passionately Failing Towards Success'.

Updated: Oct 24, 2022

This has been my biggest year of growth and transformation from doing my 3 challenges this year. It was born out of consistently pushing myself outside my comfort zone, taking relentless action towards my goals and following through with them even when I didn't want to. I have done my best to fulfil my year-long challenge, my 100-day challenge, as well as doing my Maia Dreams business and 30-day self-growth challenge journal. I love the fact that I held myself publicly accountable by doing these weekly blogs and going live everyday for 100 days. The 30-day self-growth challenge has definitely helped cement & create strong habits to strengthen my mindset. What I appreciate the most is the fact that I know I would not have gotten to where I am until mid 2024. I have pushed myself more than I ever have, and it has been intense and overwhelming at times but very much worth it.

So, for week 41, I want to share a few benefits of doing all my challenges. I definitely recommend everyone do their own if they want to fast track their progress, confront old ways of thinking and create more constructive ones, get clarity in their lives and learn to reset and evaluate themselves more. So here are a few of the benefits I have seen:

Public Accountability Kept me on Track

Doing these weekly blogs and daily lives gave me no choice but to reflect and evaluate my life. It also allowed me to gauge my progress consistently. It helped me learn how to manage my time and reflect on how to do better, figure out how to increase my self-confidence and learn the best ways to complete my goals while doing them.

Learned to be Fearless

Many of the decisions I've made this year were difficult because I consistently put myself in awkward, uncomfortable situations that I would have usually avoided. However, the more I had to do those things, the easier it became. I am willing to confront people and situations and have those uncomfortable conversations. This year, I have had to make many critical decisions for the benefit of my business, my team and my own personal life.

Grown in Self Confidence

This year, I have learned to believe in myself more than I ever have. I have relentlessly shoved myself outside my comfort zone which was so scary and overwhelming at times that it felt as if I was drowning. The fact that I have consistently soldiered on through some major discomfort made me confront my habits, way of thinking & challenge them or work through them faster. This has definitely increased my confidence to do bigger things.

Gaining Clarity

This year, I have been fastidiously working on how to do more of the things I love and stop doing things that aren't helping me to move the needle in my life. Confronting my limiting beliefs, my fears, my thoughts and my capabilities has definitely given me so much clarity. It feels so liberating to finally be in alignment with what I am meant to be doing in my life.

I know for a fact I would not be where I am today had I not done these challenges. I have definitely grown a lot and I am very excited about my journey moving forward. I am excited to restart my next challenges as I move closer to finishing them. Today is week 43 of my yearlong challenge, day 78 of my 100-day challenge & day 23 of my 30-day challenge. For 2023, it will be my most epic year ever! This means that I have to make monumental choices and decisions. So, my next blog will be about how to make 2023 the most Epic year ever.
